"VERBUND achieved a satisfactory result in the 2024 financial year, remaining at a high level, although it was lower compared to the previous year. The development of the result was significantly influenced by several factors: Firstly, wholesale electricity prices decreased compared to the peak levels of 2022 and 2023, which can be attributed to normalizing gas prices. Additionally, the reduced results in the network sector and the lower contributions from the New Renewables segment also contributed to this development. Although the above-average water flow had a positive impact, it could only partially offset the negative effects."
