Hydropower
VERBUND is one of the largest producers of hydroelectricity in Europe. Our (pumped) storage power plants in the Austrian Alps and our run-of-river power plants on rivers in Austria and Bavaria harness the power of water.
Sun
Solar energy can also go a long way to achieving the goals of the energy transition and is available nationally.
VERBUND is therefore significantly expanding its solar power renewable energy share and is offering companies and private households the opportunity to work with us in installing and operating their own photovoltaic systems.
Hydrogen
Green hydrogen plays a crucial role in achieving the climate objectives and is one of the key pillars of the VERBUND strategy.
For VERBUND, green hydrogen is a logical extension of the value chain to position itself as a holistic decarbonisation partner for its customers.
